So the door on the soap dispenser in our Frigidaire would no longer stay shut. It was not only caked with years of detergent dried onto it, the plastic nub that held the door shut had worn down. This new dispenser has a redesigned latch that clicks nicely into place, and is easier to pop open–a much better design. It looks as though the reservoir behind the door is smaller, but it holds the same amount–it is deeper though, and designed to hold dishwasher detergent cubes.You couldn’t ask for a simpler installation–you remove the front “skin” of the door, unplug the dispenser from the wiring harness, undo the screws to remove the old one, then reverse it all to install the new one.
