As a retired physician, I have been handling scalpels for many decades. Now, I use a scalpel as a lame to score sourdough bread. This Cynamed Scalpel Handle was just what I needed to replace an old, beaten up handle.The handle has a bright finish, with a centimeter scale on one side. There are grip areas towards the blade end. I was able to load a #11 blade onto the handle (see photo, blade not included with handle) with no problem, snapping into place as it should. Removal was also without difficulties.The handle weighs 21.5 grams, which seemed a bit lighter than the older handles I have been using, but still with a good feel, not feeling too lightweight at all.
