Safety mode means that the scalpel is not fully extended. This feature prevents self-inflicting injuries when the blade is partially extended. Safety Lock: if completely retracted back, the scalpel produces a “click” denoting it is in the safety lock position. The safety lock position means that the blade cannot be reused once it is locked. Right/Left-hand compatibility. Safety feature in pre/post use of the product. One-handed activation allows the user to focus on the target site.
